The Ground Obstacle Ramps by SafeSmart Access offer a modular, robust solution to navigating over terrain irregularities in industrial settings. These ramps, with handrails standing at 900mm and featured toeboards at 104mm, grant stable and secure access for equipment and personnel across uneven or obstructed paths.
In alignment with the AS 1657:2018 standard, the ramps provide a 1200mm wide passage with a long landing and gradual gradient of 1:14, making them accessible to a broad range of users in various working conditions. The adaptable legs come with swivel base plate screw jacks, designed to ensure no interference with equipment such as line pumps and allow for installation on uneven ground.
The ramps boast a heavy-duty chequer plate surface offering reliable traction, making them suitable for harsh working environments. Bevelled entrances and exits are incorporated to ensure a seamless transition between the ramp and walkway, preventing potential trip hazards for passing workers.
As a more permanent and effective option to using neoprene or plastic “humps”, this example safety pedestrian ramp unit was designed in-house by SafeSmart and built by us for a client in Sydney who were running a concrete pump line across a public path which had to remain open to foot traffic as per council requirements.
Like with this system, we manufacture all hose pedestrian ramps and temporary bridges from high tensile aluminium, professionally welded where needed for rigidity or engineered to feature smartly-connected assembly points for easy packing-down and transportation.
This footpath ramp inclines and declines at an easy 1:14 gradient, to allow safe crossing by pedestrians of all abilities and with the risk of slipping.
Designed with the end-user in mind, the Ground Obstacle Ramps are an example of SafeSmart Access’s commitment to delivering customisable, resilient, and safety-conscientious products for workplace environments
